I love clematis, a vine plant with flower that come in many colors. Clematis blossoms are really pretty but they are tricky to photograph. If you’ve ever shot photos of flowers you have probably discovered that what looks good to the eye from a distance does not always hold up under the unforgiving lens. Clematis have been one of the most difficult flowers to photograph, for as soon as I think I have found the perfect blossom, I look at it through the lens and see the brown spots, or bug bites or whatever it is that ruins the picture. Fortunately, last summer I visited a garden in Boise with a huge collection of Clematis and I finally took a few photos that I was happy with.
